Band Bios

The Perry Wing Band takes you straight to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The band carries with them a regional Carolina flavor of acoustic appalachia and americana roots sound that conjures up images of Honky Tonk bars as well as the sound of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their focus is to write and play songs with emphasis on an acoustic sound with a cross between american, blues, country and bluegrass.
Perry Wing has been playing guitar and writing songs for the last 40 years. He played for 37 years in the Austin, Texas music scene. He has toured the Netherlands and Belgium there times promoting his last three CDs; "Walkin' On Backstreets", "Far From Home" and "Austin Bound". After moving to Asheville, he has played the music scene and festivals in the Carolinas the last three years. His musical influences range from the blues to country and rock.

The Perry Wing Band's new CD, "Big Old River" was recorded in Black Mountain, North Carolina, and features new tunes with a fresh acoustic sound.
